Places to Watch the Submarine Races at Tahoe!!!!!

East Shore Pullout. From the Pondersoa Ranch in Incline Village, drive south on Hwy. 28 about tow miles until you see a paved pullout on your right. Parking is great. Leave your car there and your romantic interlude starts here. Explore the local trails and boulders to your hearts content and you will surely find the perfect spot to toast the setting sun.


Mt. Rose Highway: from the intersection of North Lake Blvd. and Hwy 431 in Incline Village, drive 3.5 miles and you will see a large pullout on your right. From there you will have a perfect view of Diamond Peak Ski area, the Crystal Bay point, and Heavenly Ski area across teh Lake at south shoure. The best ime ot visit this area is at sunset. Look at the views here to see why.

Continue up Mt. Rose highway to the summit and view the lights of Reno. The pullout at the right will offer a place dreams where dreams are made.


The Garwoods Pier: This is not a secluded spot. However, your adventure can look like this. A kayak ride for two, then a sunset dip in the Lake (Winter?) followed by a walk through the stones on the beach and a stroll through the new beach park to the end of the pier. Here is where you can kiss. Now top it all off with a bottle of wine on the deck of Garwoods. The views form the vist point are fantastic.


Old Highway 40: before Interstate 80, Old Highway 41 was the main route to Tahoe and the 1926 Donner Summit Bridge is the highlight of this historic road. Fomr this bridge you can see Donner Lake, Old Truckee and mountain peaks al the way to Mr. Rose.

The bridge is apporximately half a mile east of Donner Pass on old U.S. 40. From I-80 Eastbound, take the Soda Springs exit and continue to Donner Pass. From I-80 Westbound, take the Donner Lake Interchange to Donner Pass Road, then turn right.
